How to Reset Talents in WoW Forever
Spent a point in the wrong tree? You can reset your class talents at a trainer for your class, then assign the refunded points again. Check the price in the trainer dialogue before you confirm.
Plan your talentsQuick answer
Visit a trainer for your class, choose the option to unlearn your talents, review the displayed cost, and confirm. Your spent class talent points are refunded so you can build again.
The process
Reset your class talents in three steps
- Find your class trainer. Use a trainer who teaches your character’s class. The option is in the trainer’s dialogue, not in the talent calculator or character menu.
- Choose the talent reset option. Read the dialogue carefully. Before confirming, check that you are resetting class talents and note the price shown.
- Reassign your points. After the reset, open the talent screen and spend your refunded points in the trees you want.
Current beta note
What does a talent reset cost?
Blizzard’s September 24, 2026 beta notes say a reset costs 1 silver if you have not changed your talents recently. After a reset, another reset within the next hour costs more; the cost returns to 1 silver after an hour. Blizzard describes this pricing as temporary for the beta.
The beta is actively changing. Treat the amount shown by your trainer as the current price, and check the latest notes before planning around a specific cost.
Level 14 searches
Can you reset talents at level 14?
Level 14 is not listed as a special reset milestone in Blizzard’s beta notes. If you have spent class talent points and want to change them, speak to your class trainer and check the reset option and price shown for your character. The number of points available depends on the current beta rules and your level.
Common questions
Talent reset FAQ
Does resetting talents delete my character?
No. A talent reset clears your spent class talent points so you can assign them again. It does not delete your character.
Can I reset talents for free?
The September 24 beta notes list a 1-silver reset after at least an hour without a recent reset. A repeat reset sooner costs more, and the current beta rule may change. Confirm the displayed price with your trainer.
Does the WoW Forever Talent Calculator reset my character?
No. The calculator helps you plan and share a build; it does not make changes to your in-game character. Use a class trainer to reset talents in game.
